Title: JFSP BPA Science Writer Contract-ETI

Project Proposal Abstract: The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) seeks the professional services of technical science writers and editors who can work with scientists to translate fire and natural resources science into written and web-based formats designed for decision-makers, and wildland fire managers, and natural resource professionals. Our writing needs are for the translation of scientific literature for a general audience. Experience as a scientific writer-editor is essential to successful performance of this contract. The Contractor shall provide scientific reporting, interviewing, editing, writing services, and revising the writing in response to government reviewer comments. The writer is responsible for securing graphics and photos to support the text. Writing tasks may involve multimedia opportunities such as streaming video, blogs, podcasts, webinars, and other emerging communication technologies.
